I like staying in my sartorial comfort zone, even for dressier occasions, so I often look for ways to elevate my outfits in the simplest ways
It’s about making the occasion work for your style, not the other way around. I tend to stick to a neutral colour palette, but I like to mix contrasting fabrics, play around with cut-outs and structure, or add interest with a statement lip or accessories.
I feel my best in denim, but I’ll swap out a cotton tee for a silk blouse. I can no longer wear super high heels, but a kitten or block heel gives me a little height without compromising comfort. Simple touches like a bright lip, statement bangle, or smokey eye can make all the difference when you want to dress up a little but still feel like you.
